From September 2024 to January 2025, artist and filmmaker Mareike Bernien will be researching and working at the QuantumFrontiers Cluster of Excellence
Mareike Bernien was selected as the first residency artist of the Science and Art Lab at TU Braunschweig from over one hundred international applications by a jury of experts and the scientists involved in the Cluster. In close collaboration with the researchers of the Cluster of Excellence, Mareike Bernien is designing a project that illuminates, scrutinises and comments on the past and present of quantum research and the work of the Cluster. In interviews, film and sound recordings as well as an examination of theoretical writings, the artist will create a multi-perspective interplay.
