How LISA's search for gravitational waves in space works

Astro & Co is an online talk show on astronomy and astrophysics that is broadcast every Monday at 7 pm on the YouTube channel of the Haus der Astronomie. The 45-minute live programme is hosted by Carolin Liefke and Markus Pössel.
On 18 November, QuantumFrontiers member Gudrun Wanner will be a guest on the show and report on the LISA space observatory. It will be the first gravitational wave observatory in space and will consist of three satellites forming a triangular detector with 2.5 million kilometre long arms that will follow the Earth in its orbit around the sun. The satellites will act as a giant interferometer to measure changes in distance between the satellites caused by gravitational waves.
The programme will be in German.
