- Abstract
We present a technique to stabilize laser frequency to an average of different cavity modes via Pound-Drever-Hall (PDH) scheme. This technique was applied to eliminate the laser frequency instability arising from fluctuation of the birefringence in Al0.92Ga0.08As/GaAs crystalline mirror coatings by locking to the average frequency of orthogonally polarized cavity modes.
